What do you think about all the above questions..........

So, here in this article we are going to discuss all these questions and try to reach to a peculiar conclusion.

Cricket is the second most popular sport after Football in the world. It is spread and played globally in approximately 30-35 countries. As well as, In Asian countries,Cricket is played in almost every corner. This game comprise of roundabout 2.5 million viewers all over the world.

Cricket in Asian Games

Cricket has been included in the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou in 2010 and also in 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon in South Korea.

  • 16th Asian Games 2010 : In the Asian Games 2010, Cricket was played by Pakistan,Afghanistan ,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan in the final event to win the gold medal while the latter won the silver. The bronze went to Pakistan after they beat Sri Lanka in the third-place match.

  • Asian Games 2014 : In these Asian Games Cricket was played in T-20 format. And, several asians countries took part in it.

But, this attempt of involving cricket in the Asian games didn't succeed because of financial downfall for the organisers. The cricket board of India and Pakistan didn't assure to make their team participate in these games.
Although, Pakistan was agreed to send their women's  cricket team but India wasn't interested in sending their both men and women's teams in these games.
So, due to this organisers of Asian games have to suffer a huge financial loss and they were desperate to remove cricket from the Asian Games.

5 Secrets bout Indian cricket

World Cup 2019

Cricket In Olympics

Olympics was found by  Baron Pierre de coubertin.  It is a international sporting arena where almost every summer and winter sport is being played by more than 200 nations worldwide.

Cricket had been introduced in the Olympics in the year 1900, and was played by four teams: Great Britain,Netherlands,Belgium and France. The only match of the tournament was played between Great Britain and France and Great Britain won that match by 158  runs.

Olympic logo_cricket_in_Asian_games and_Olympic

But, This attempt to introduce Cricket in the Oympics got failed due to several reasons. Some of them are as follows:

  •  Long Time Span As we all know that even the shortest format of the Cricket (T-20) take atleast three-four hours. And if two groups containing atleast 13-14 teams plays, then it would take a minimum of 100 hours.

Since, Olympics are played for about Fifteen -Eighteen days and it's a very short time period for organising many sports. So, It is not a good idea to include cricket in Olympics as it is a time consuming sport.

  • Not a Global Game : Cricket has an audience of about more than 1 million people across the world and is most popular sport after Football. But, it doesn't makes Cricket a global game. Only a handful of nations play cricket. Most of the countries lacks interest in cricket. This is the major reason for cricket not to be included in the Olympics yet.
  • Higher Commodities Cost and Co-ordination : Cricket requires a considerable preparation of the field (called pitch). For this, a huge amount of goods and articles are required which demands an enormous cost. It is very difficult for the non cricket playing nations to generate interest for such a game which is watched only in few countries.

  • Financial Downfall : In every sport TV viewership plays a major role in making profit. Since, cricket is only watched in few countries so, it's viewership is not much. Due to this organisers of Olympic have to face a massive financial loss.
And moreover, the profit which is earned in cricket all goes to the International Olympic Committee only rather than ICC,which organises cricket tournament.

  • Not relevant to Olympic Motto : The motto of Olympic is "Faster,Higher and Stronger" but cricket can be described as "Longer,Savvier and More Consistent". Olympic include sports that shows athlete's speed, endurance, stamina, strength and flexibility but cricket requires accuracy, timing, consistency and decision making, which is not best suited for the motto of Olympics.

These were some reasons because of which cricket is not comprised in Olympics.

So, from the above discussion we can conclude that there are not much benefits of involving cricket in Olympics and Asian Games. It is not a good news for cricket fans that their favourite sport is not a part of these global events.

In the history of Indian cricket there are some Deep secrets about the Indian players that we are sure you don't know and now here we are disclosing some of them for you

  • Tendulkar's Underwear Mystery

When Super six phase was going on and India was playing against Sri Lanka, there was a player who was suffering from bad stomach and dehydration. And this player was the backbone of the team at that time, he was Sachin Tendulkar.

In this match, of the world cup Sachin was suffering from diarrhoea and dehydration. He had to use tissue papers inside his underwear during the play.Even after such a worst condition he scored 97 runs in 120 balls and this was the need of the team in that match. Through this wonderful inning of Tendulkar India was able to make an appreciable total and also India defeated Sri Lanka by 183 runs.

Sachin had also mentioned the above incident in his autobiography "Playing It My Way", and it goes like this:

"I also added a teaspoon of salt to the energy drinks, thinking it would help the recovery, and that caused a tummy upset. In fact, the situation was so bad that I had to bat with tissues inside my underwear. I even had to go back to the dressing room during one of the drinks breaks and was feeling extremely uncomfortable in the middle."

He also added:

I somehow scored 97, but batting with stomach cramps wasn't a pleasant experience. I was pushing myself to the limits of endurance and in the end I was glad that the effort paid off."

  • Shahid Afridi used Magic Bat

Almost every cricket fan knows that Shahid Afridi made a world record by hitting the fastest ODI century in just 37 balls in his debut match for Pakistan team agint Sri Lanka at Nairobi in 1996. He hit 11 sixes and 6 fours in that record inning.

Azharuddin also used to wear a white helmet in his every match because he wore white helmet in test matches and there was no compulsion of wearing blue helmet in other matches, so, he always used to wear white helmet in every match during his play.

"I had a liking for white helmet since we used it a lot during playing Tests. And since there was no compulsion of using a blue helmet, I played with a white one," he said.

  • Kapil Dev Cried like a Baby

During an interview in the show 'Hardtalk India' taken by Karan Thapar, the former Indian captain Kapil Dev started crying. Because, he was alligated for the charge of making money through match fixing.

In a match, in Sri Lanka, in 1994, his on field strike partner Manoj Prabhakar revealed that Kapil Dev had offered him to underperform in the match for 25 lacs.

While the interviewer was asking questions regarding this matter, Kapil Dev wasn't able to control his emotions and started crying like a baby. Kapil Dev mentioned that he would rather commit suicide instead of giving bribe.

Now, here is the whole interview of that day:

"Take all my money, I don't want it. I come from a family where pride is the most important thing."he said.

In the last few years India also gained No. 1 ODI ranking. Back to back 5 respective ODI series win is somewhat enormous for Indian team.

In 2016 and 2017 ,T-20 World Cup and Champion Trophy India reached to semifinals and finals respectively which shows their matchless performance.

During the last one year India have won almost all series in which they have  beaten teams like-West Indies(3-1),New Zealand(2-1),Australia(4-1),Sri Lanka(2-1),South Africa(5-1).But India should not underestimate England who have recently defeated them.

By considering the recent performance under the captaincy of Virat Kohli,Team India can be seen as a major contender for the World cup.

Key Players

Although,Team India is full of most talented players. But ,Team India's victory is dependent upon some of the crucial players that are listed below:

He can also give important suggestions to Kohli to make some crucial decisions at the right time. He is that type of  player who plays according to the conditions required by the team. He strengthens the middle order of the Indian batting line-up.

He is known to be the best Finisher
of the game and also the best wicket keeper of all time.

  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar

WORLD CUP 2019

He is the most wicket taking fast bowler of these days for India and it becomes more difficult to bat on the balls of Bhuvi and Bumrah in the death overs.
For India to win,all the pressure of bowling side will be on the shoulders of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

  • Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav And Bumrah:

All rounder Hardik Pandya is a very crucial player because he can hit big boundaries against any bowler and can also do well in bowling department.
Kuldeep Yadav have now became an tricky spinner, who can send any batsmen into the pavilion.

WORLD CUP 2019

Jasprit Bumrah's different bowling action has troubled the batsmen. He is considered as a death specialist bowler.
So the performance of these players are also very much important for winning the world cup.
Master Plan For World Cup

  • Batting:  India's Batting order is full of world class batsmen like: Shikhar Dhawan,Rohit Sharma,Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni and all of them have a great potential make a worthy score. India's main focus should be on their opening pair to give a good start. India has aptitude to chase any total against any team.
  • Bowling:   India's fast bowling pair of Bhuvi-Bumrah is very dangerous for all the batsmen. Green pitches of England will support fast-swing bowlers in early overs. India should try to take advantage of these conditions to get maximum wickets. The pair of spinners Kuldeep-Ashwin can control the run-rate in the middle overs as well as gives breakthrough at the right time.
  • Fielding: Fielding side of India is Considered to be one of the best in the world. It also provides backup for the bowlers.

So, As we can see that India's batting, bowling and fielding all three departments are very strong as compared to the other teams. As well as the performance of Indian team in recent years have improved a lot.

One the other hand, Indian Captain Virat Kohli has a potential to lead his team to the victory. Moreover, Indian cricket team also contain some players like: M.S.Dhoni,Virat Kohli,Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar that are very experienced player, who were also a part of  the team in  last World Cup. There are also some very talented youngsters like: Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal who can change face of dice of the game.
Therefore, India can be seen as the major contender in this upcoming World Cup.

So,now India have to repeat its history of 2011 World Cup and need to show the world that they still are the Champions.

50 runs, in just 18 balls!!!😱😱😱.....Can u imagine???

Yeahh....!!

It have happened in the ground in Taunton in Kia Women's Cricket Super League T20 tournament.
And this unbelievable inning is played by the star of Indian  women cricket SMRITI MANDHANA.
Yes u have read it right ... ,It is done by a women player of Indian cricket team.

This inning was played by SMRITI MANDHANA by playing for the team Western Storm against Loughborough Lightning at   Kia women cricket superleague
 in Taunton.
From the  very beginning of the play, she was looking very aggressive. As a opener for Western Storm ,she started her inning with a massive six and during her inning she smashed four boundaries and five sixes in the rain truncated six-over each side match. She took only 18 balls to reach to the landmark of  fifty, which is the fastest  not only by the any batswoman in the tournament but also the joint fastest by any woman in T-20 cricket along with Newzealand's Sophie Devine's 18-balls fifty against India in bangalore in 2015.

Through this tremendous inning of Smriti ,Western Storm scored 85 runs in six overs. With the help of  this innings they were able to beat the Loughborough Lightning by 18 runs. Although Sophie Devine was also present in the opponent team , she was also looking in  form  and hit 46 runs in 21 balls but it was not enough to achieve victory.

Walk of Life:

Smriti was born on 18 JULY,1996 in Mumbai (Maharashtra). She completed her schooling in Madhavnagar, Sangli inMaharashtra. She was inspired by her brother,Shravan who played Maharashtra state under 16s tournament. At the age of nine she was selected in the Maharashtra 's under 15 team. She was selected for the Maharashtra under-19s team ,when she was eleven. Smriti is a left handed batsman and her bowling style is Right-arm off break.

  • Smriti has the joint world record of fastest fifty (50 runs in 18 balls) in T-20 with Newzealand's Sophie Devine.

Through this outstanding inning of Smriti Mandhana,we can see that womens are walking shoulder to shoulder with mens. Just like our Indian Men's team is playing phenomenal cricket , our women's cricket team is also playing impressive.
In our male dominant society, we assume that mens are superior than woman, but, it is not so. We think that cricket is only for mens but this inning shows that womens can also play sensational cricket.

So, this inning is a proof of the line said in the movie "DANGAL":

"Mhari Choriyan Choron Se Kam hai Ke "
